A final farewell for Arjen Robben
The experienced Dutchman once featured on our weekly Instagram article thanks to a new hair-do, but now he’s here with something more serious.
An amazing spell at Bayern Munich has come to an end and in typical fashion, too, with one last league title going into Robben’s list of honours during his time in Bavaria. Mr Wembley as he is affectionately known by some in Munich after his heroics in the Champions League final a few years back, will be missed by all in Germany.
A grand goodbye for Kompany…
Sticking on the farewells, there was a perfect send-off for Manchester City’s captain, Vincent Kompany.
The Belgian has just lifted his third major domestic honour of the season, adding the FA Cup to the League Cup and Premier League title. Off to become a player-coach at Anderlecht, his hometown club, he sent an open letter to all the fans of City. Catch Nigel de Jong in the comments demanding a statue of his former teammate!
Dele Alli, most stylish man in the waiting room
Whilst so many trophies have been won in the past few weeks, one very big one is yet to be decided; the Champions League.
Spurs are in their first ever final on June 1st and one of their key players, Dele Alli, is ‘patiently waiting’ in one hell of an outfit.
Even Egyptian Kings need their sleep!
On the other side of the Champions League Final is Liverpool, who are preparing in sunny Marbella at the moment.
On their flight there, Mo Salah saw the perfect opportunity to get some rest and made himself a makeshift bed on the plane, much to the amusement of his teammates.
Loyle Carner brings hip-hop and vintage football to Amsterdam
We were fortunate enough to be at Paradiso last weekend, where London rapper Loyle Carner had taken his Euro Tour.
He gave a heartwarming performance to an adoring crowd, doing so in a lovely vintage Argentina shirt. Read about the gig here.
