Sneaker of the Week: adidas Originals Samba RM Boost

Not for the first time, adidas Originals’ delve into their football culture heavy past, has made it to our Sneaker of the Week pick.

For those veterans of indoor football and five-a-side soccer, the Samba shoe will be something held close to your heart. If you’ve ever knocked a ball off the wall, through an opponents’ legs or into the bottom corner of those low-height goals, there is a fine chance that you have done so in a pair of Sambas.

Well, the iconic shoe is back in this modern remix, where a gum sole and a white colourway offering bring the sneaker into the fashion realm, too. Leather and suede combine like an old-fashioned one-two on the upper of these shoes, with tiny details making for further developments on the Samba since it was first introduced way back when.

“S4M3A” branding on the heel comes in place of the usual “Samba”, another sly addition which brings us into this 2019 world of streetwear meets football.
