The appointment of Bastian Schweinsteiger as President of Kings League Germany signaled the league’s serious intent. One of Germany’s most respected football icons, Schweinsteiger leads its growth by blending tradition with innovation. Alongside him, Mario Götze, 2014 World Cup hero, and Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić, former Bayern Munich sporting director, serve as team captains and symbolic faces of the project. Former Bundesliga players like for example Sidney Sam, Kevin Großkreutz, Dennis Diekmeier, and Moritz Leitner have also embraced the league’s fast-paced, unpredictable format. The first season concluded on May 31, 2025, with Futbolistas Locos FC clinching the championship title after a thrilling final against ERA Colonia. The match showcased the league’s unique blend of athleticism and entertainment, with team captains bringing both skill and charisma to the pitch.
