This weekend might be remembered as the one where Christian Pulisic truly arrived in the Premier League.
We have not yet seen too much of the American winger since he moved to Chelsea in a big-money move from BVB. However, with Frank Lampard slowly introducing him to the squad, there have been signs about the quality of player that Pulisic is.
This weekend it became clear as Chelsea took the notoriously tricky away trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley. In an impressive performance from the Blues, it was their United States star who shone the brightest. A lovely solo goal, a header and a left-footed finish made a perfect hat-trick from the young winger as he got off the mark for his new club in style.
Playing in some typical British rain on a late Saturday afternoon kick-off in front of a TV audience, this was vintage Premier League settings. And Pulisic excelled in his new habitat, showing signs of why many are dubbing him as Eden Hazard’s replacement at Stamford Bridge.
For his breathtaking display, Christian Pulisic is our Player of the Weekend.
