Noni Madueke: ”The public loves our team and our vibe at Chelsea.”
Noni Madueke talks fashion. When it comes to style, the Chelsea winger is never standing still. Sitting down with GQ, the electrifying young footballer opens up about his fashion metamorphosis, stylish teammates, tunnel fits sculture, and how shopping is more instinct than strategy.

Metamorphosis
“Everyone goes through that phase where all you want is brands, loud pieces, logos everywhere,” Madueke admits with a grin. “I don’t disregard brands. I still like certain ones. But now, it’s more about the fit, how it all comes together. These days, I gravitate towards more understated pieces.” But don’t mistake this for a permanent shift. Noni knows himself too well. “Give it three months and I’ll probably do a complete U-turn,” he laughs. “I can literally wake up one day and decide, right, for the next six months, this is how I want to look.”
Tunnel Fits: The Next Frontier
Gone are the days when players rolled up to stadiums in identical club suits. In the NBA and NFL, tunnel walk photos have become a bona fide fashion moment, part street style, part runway preview. Athletes now custom-fit their looks just for that underground catwalk moment. Madueke is more than ready to bring that vibe to English football. “The Premier League is such a massive market. Why wouldn’t we embrace that?” he asks. “It’s kind of mind-boggling. Chelsea should 100% be doing it. The public loves our team and our vibe. It’s London, it’s Chelsea, it just fits.”
‘’Oh my God. Why don’t you wear this stuff, man?’’
Madueke is far from the only baller with an eye for fashion. He quickly rattles off names from the England camp who have caught his eye, Morgan Gibbs-White, Curtis Jones, Joe Willock, but one teammate stands out. “Jadon Sancho has some serious pieces in his wardrobe,” Madueke says. “If he ever brought them out, you’d be like, ‘Oh my God. Why don’t you wear this stuff, man?’ He’s sitting on heat, 100 percent.”
Creativity
Madueke’s approach to fashion is instinctive. “If I buy something, I’m probably wearing it that day,” he says. “That’s just how I am, whether I’m on the pitch, out shopping, with friends or family. I’m open to trying new things. That’s just my personality.” And that creativity spills into every part of his life. “It goes into my career, my football, my clothes, what I choose to do. I’ve got a very creative mind, and I draw inspiration from everything.”
He’s always exploring new fashion territory, his latest obsession? “Cropped hoodies,” he says without hesitation. “Do you know what I’m liking now? Yeah, cropped hoodies. We never go back. Always forward.”
