Noah Fadiga: “I like to put effort into looking good when I can.”

This story revisits a conversation with Noah Fadiga during his early years in Dutch football. The Belgian-Senegalese right back, son of former international Khalilou Fadiga, was settling into life in the Netherlands with a mindset shaped by style, family values, and a love for variety. Away from the pitch, he reveals a side defined by curiosity, calmness, and a flair for fashion.

Urban style with a family influence

Noah Fadiga has always seen clothing as a way to express himself: “I think I have an urban vibe style. But I can also alternate it with a classic style.” Sneakers, in particular, are a big part of his look. “I rarely wear the same clothes for too long. I love variety, and I’m crazy about sneakers.” He enjoys mixing high and low fashion. “Of course I like designer brands, but I find it just as fun to combine those with lesser-known labels. Exclusivity is always interesting, limited items are special, even if they come with a bigger price tag.” When asked about style influences, he doesn’t hesitate. “Actually, my father is my biggest example. Despite the age difference, he is very up-to-date with today’s fashion. He’s always busy with it and usually dresses in black. I love that too. I always find him very stylish.” His teammates also inspire him. “Rai Vloet always dresses really well. His style is very different from mine, but it always works. He often has special and limited sneakers, which I find really cool.”

Shopping, accessories, and no-go’s

When it comes to shopping, Fadiga prefers efficiency over endless browsing. “I don’t actually shop that often. Only pants, because I like to check the size properly myself. Sometimes I use a personal shopper, and I get a lot of inspiration from Instagram. I also like going to De Bijenkorf. They have many beautiful brands in one place, so you don’t have to walk through ten different stores.” Accessories are a natural part of his style. “Jewelry can really add to an outfit, and I value a nice watch. If I buy something special, it has to last with time. I don’t buy something to wear just once, I see it as a good investment.” As for what not to wear, his mind is clear: “Personally, I’m not a fan of skinny jeans. I’ve worn them before, but I think they really don’t work anymore. A more baggy fit is better.”

Fashion as confidence

For someone who spends most of the week in training gear, dressing up carries a different kind of meaning. “During the week I usually wear sportswear and tracksuits. That’s why I really enjoy dressing up when I don’t have to. I like putting effort into a nice outfit and paying extra attention to it.” For Fadiga, fashion is more than appearance, it’s a way to step into another version of himself, one that balances comfort with confidence. Grounded through family and driven by self-expression, Noah Fadiga shows that style is not just about clothing. It’s about variety, detail, and presenting yourself with character, whether in sneakers, jewelry, or simply the calm way he carries himself.
