Nike Total 90: The Legacy Lives On
Nike revisits one of its most beloved football lines with the return of the Total 90. This new drop brings back the 2003 Magia Shox alongside a fresh jersey collection with Foot Locker, offering a quiet tribute to an era when football and style moved as one. For longtime fans, it’s a moment of nostalgia. For a new generation, it’s an introduction to a design language shaped by power, precision and presence.

Nike Total 90
Once a staple on muddy pitches and concrete courts, Total 90 defined football’s bold, direct, and sporty design era. Iconic players wore it proudly, its clean lines, centred graphics, and tech-forward builds captured early-2000s football style. Now, over two decades later, Nike revives the line with sharp detail, teaming with Maha Amsterdam and Foot Locker for a refreshed, lifestyle-driven look.
The Magia Shox, Reimagined
First released in 2003, the Magia Shox blended Nike’s performance roots with streetwear appeal. A futsal favourite with a distinctive silhouette, the original shoe featured a quilted upper and visible Shox cushioning that set it apart from anything else on the pitch. The 2025 version keeps that DNA intact. The Shox columns return, paired with the same stitched vamp and streamlined shape. The colours, metallic silver and matte black, recall the era of high-contrast boots and taped-up socks. But this time, the shoe is designed with everyday wear in mind. No longer strictly for the court, it slips naturally into today’s fashion landscape.
Launched in partnership with Maha, the Magia Shox dropped in Europe on July 5, followed by a global release through Nike SNKRS on July 12. Quietly confident and technically sound, it’s a release that pays respect without shouting.

The Jersey Collection with Foot Locker
Alongside the Magia Shox, Nike launches a new Total 90 jersey capsule exclusively through Foot Locker. Inspired by bold early-2000s kits, the shirts rework the classic “90” chest logo with clean stripes and sharp contrast.
Each jersey carries the spirit of match day, yet is styled with the street in mind. The drop also sees the return of the Total 90 III SP, a low-cut boot with a quilted toe and curved lacing system that once turned heads in Champions League warm-ups. Together, the collection bridges performance heritage and casual culture in a way that feels true to the time.
Some looks are paired with the Air Max TN, reinforcing the connection between football and sneaker culture that continues to evolve.

A Legacy That Still Resonates
The return of Total 90 isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about reactivating a shared memory. For those who grew up playing in these jerseys or lacing up these boots, the drop evokes a specific kind of energy. One of after-school training sessions, weekend tournaments, and watching your heroes on grainy TV broadcasts. For younger fans, it’s a glimpse into a style that valued clarity, function and edge.
Nike understands that this legacy lives on not just through design, but through the communities that embraced it. By bringing Total 90 back in limited editions and select collaborations, the brand keeps the memory alive, while opening the door for new stories to be written.
