Wednesday Wheels: Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR

One of the most iconic series of cars around, VW’s Golf is back in a big.

Attracting a huge cult following that goes all the way back to the legendary MK1, every time that VW drop a new edition of their much-loved hatchback, the entire motor industry looks in the rearview admiration.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR is to be Europe’s speediest hatchback, named after the race car that has helped this specific iteration of the Gold raise to fame. Of limited edition, only 75 of these gorgeous cars will be available in our native Netherlands.

The Golf GTI TCR sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. With the optional Performance Package, the top speed is increased to 260 km/h for a Golf that packs the fun of a sports racer.

Coming in that trademark Golf look, it’s a truly beautiful modern car and a superb alternative if flashy sports cars aren’t quite your thing. Pure White, Tornado Red, Deep Black pearl effect and Oryx White pearl are the colours on offer, as well as an all-new Pure Grey made specially for this new release.
