Watch Wednesday: Audemars Piguet’s White Ceramic Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar
Audemar Piguet’s Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar embodies the famous watchmaker like no other timepiece, with its history and contemporary innovation perfectly crafted in one watch.
Made in an extremely limited quantity, these watches cost just short of $100,000 USD, coming in white ceramic. The new release has most of the AP traits that fans of the brand will know all too well, equipped with a durable movement that carries a beautiful perpetual calendar and gorgeous moon phase feature.
Alongside the crisp 41mm case and bracelet is the blue dial with AP’s “Grande Tapisserie” pattern and gold and silver indexes. That moon phase indicator that grabs the eye the most, though, amazingly detailed and just like nothing else you’ve ever had on a watch. The moon and sky appear in 3D, making for a striking appearance on what was already an impressive watch.
