slowthai channels Italia 90 in new music video

English rapper, slowthai has risen to fame in the past 18 months, emerging as one of the most organic and refreshing talents in British music.

The Northampton musician is on the brink of releasing a potentially game-changing debut album, with Nothing Great About Britain to be released this month. Building anticipation, slowthai has released two videos for tracks off of the album, both of which contain great football references.

In Gorgeous, slowthai is filmed playing football on the pitch of his local club, Northampton Town FC, booting a ball out of shot from the halfway line. And now, for the title track of the album, visuals show him head to toe in England’s iconic Italia 90 kit. Pictured on TV, taking abuse from the supporters, the visuals are typically political, well-thought out and original.

Furthermore, the rapper also performed on the Sky Sports football culture entertainment show, Soccer AM this weekend, too. A busy baller, indeed.
