Mercedes-Benz EQC: Mercedes’ new all-electric car
In 2016, Mercedes-Benz unveiled its plan for an all-electric vehicle at the Paris Motor Show. Now, in 2019, Mercedes’ first electric car is ready.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC is a pioneer of an avant-garde electro-aesthetic and at the same time represents the design language “progressive luxury”. Typical of the brand, the car marries performance and comfort, doing so with a sleek appearance.
Based on its powerful dimensions, the EQC is a Crossover SUV. With an elongated roofline, low waistline and the coupé-like sloping rear, the EQC is right in the middle between an SUV and an SUV-Coupé. The high driving performance is thanks to many factors, but mainly the two electric motors on the front and rear axle with a total capacity of 300 kW.
You can expect to roam, in pure comfort, for up to 450km at a time with this electronic duo of engines. For company, you’ve got a genius navigation system and more. The ECO Assistant uses navigation data, traffic sign recognition and information from the intelligent safety assistants (radar and stereo camera) to control the “sail” function and energy recovery. It also tells the driver when he or she can release the accelerator, for example, because a lower speed limit is coming.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC is truly a drive into the future of automobiles. Also, it’s a sustainable offering from one of the most influential brands in the world. Learn more about the EQC here.
