An exclusive look at the new Defenders
In September, Defender invited Life After Football co-founder Regi Blinker to the Spanish island of Ibiza to have an exclusive look at the new Defenders and immerse himself in the world of the iconic car brand.
Defender, which is a car brand underpinned by JLR, introduced two exclusive curations (Defender Eivissa Limited Edition) during its Destination Defender event at the Defender House in Ibiza. They invited a selected group of individuals to a unique experience on the Spanish Island where the guests would not only have an opportunity to see the truly rare vehicles but also join in on a wide array of other activities.
Recently, Defender introduced a series of upgrades across all its models, elevating adventurous luxury to an even higher level. “Our vision for Defender is to continually improve our fantastic vehicles,” said Mark Cameron, Managing Director of Defender. The brand, renowned worldwide for its robustness and versatility, has also optimised its engine range for the 2025 model year, with all engines now meeting EU6 emissions standards.
The Destination Defender Experience
As a former winger, Regi has faced many defenders on the football pitch, but none like the Defender. In the luxurious Defender House in Ibiza, situated on a mountain with breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea, he experienced everything the models have to offer. “I was overwhelmed by the experience and the car’s capabilities,” said Regi.
The adventure began with a private boat trip to Es Vedra and an unforgettable dinner at Sublimotion. A sunrise yoga session set the tone for the second day, followed by an exhilarating afternoon driving the Defender through Ibiza’s rugged mountain landscape.
