Decathlon becomes title sponsor of Premier Padel Rotterdam

“Ready to Play” is Decathlon’s new global slogan, introduced in March of this year. With this, Decathlon aims to inspire and motivate everyone to join its mission: “move people through the wonders of sport.” At Premier Padel Rotterdam, elite and amateur sports will come together in Ahoy Rotterdam, which aligns well with Decathlon’s vision and products.

At Decathlon, you’ll find a wide and high-quality range of padel products from their own padel brand Kuikma, for both professional athletes and recreational players. These products are designed, developed, and tested in Madrid, the birthplace of padel. This is done in collaboration with Horacio Álvarez Clementi, the Argentine coach and former world number one. During the Premier Padel tournaments, professional players Maxi Sánchez, Lucía Sainz, and Iván Ramírez will play with Kuikma products.

Premier Padel: The Global Padel Tour

Premier Padel is known for offering world-class elite sport, with the P1 tournament in Rotterdam Ahoy as the absolute highlight. From September 9th to 15th, 2024, the top 48 male and female players from around the world will compete for the coveted title.

The 2024 Premier Padel tour includes four Major tournaments (Doha, Rome, Paris, and Mexico), comparable to the Grand Slam events in tennis, and also features tournaments in the P1 and P2 categories, as well as Tour Finals as the season’s closing event. P1 is the second-highest-ranked Premier Padel tournament after Majors, followed by P2. The difference between the tournaments lies mainly in the ranking points and prize money.

The P1 tournament in Rotterdam promises to be an unparalleled experience, with the grandeur of the event and the presence of the world’s best players. The merger of Premier Padel and WPT at the beginning of this year has resulted in one global professional padel tour, overseen by the International Padel Federation (FIP).

Decathlon Premier Padel Tournament

Since May 18th, a “Premier of the Court” session has been held monthly: a padel club session in all cities with a Peakz Padel location. The winning duos from the Premier of the Court tournaments will receive tickets to the Decathlon Premier Padel Rotterdam tournament, and also stand a chance to win one of the 34 participant tickets.
