Kylian Mbappé Charity Work Has a Pattern
Kylian Mbappé and his charity work is not something that started after he became one of the biggest names in football. Since becoming a France international, he has built a habit of sending match fees and bonuses away from his own pocket and towards people who need them more. It is easy to miss, because Mbappé rarely makes it the headline. The goals, the records and the transfer stories usually take over. But behind the noise, there is a clear pattern.

The France Money
Since 2017, Mbappé has been closely connected to Premiers de Cordée, a French charity that uses sport to support children in hospitals and children with disabilities. His France match fees have gone to the organisation, turning international football into something bigger than national-team appearances.
The most famous example came in 2018. After France won the World Cup in Russia, Mbappé’s tournament earnings, reported at roughly €350,000, went straight to the charity instead of his own account.
At 19, that could have been treated as a one-off gesture. It was not.
Not a One-Time Story
What stands out is how consistent it has become. For Mbappé, playing for France seems to carry a second meaning. The shirt brings pressure, attention and expectation, but also a way to move money into places where it can actually do something.
During the Covid years, that same approach continued through support for the Abbé Pierre Foundation, helping families in difficult situations. Later, his foundation became linked to individual medical stories too, including Abubakr, a young child from Mauritania whose life-saving treatment was supported through the network around Inspired by KM.
These are not campaign moments. They feel closer to a habit.
Inspired by KM
In 2020, Mbappé made that habit more permanent by launching Inspired by KM. The idea was simple but personal: support 98 children from Paris until they begin their working lives. The number 98 is not random. It is a quiet nod to the year he was born.
The project is built around education, culture, sport and opportunity. Not just giving money, but opening doors. In a football world where players often launch brands, collections and companies, Mbappé created something that keeps pointing back to where he came from.
A Different Kind of Legacy
None of this changes what Mbappé is on the pitch. He is still the explosive forward, the World Cup winner, the Real Madrid star, the player who seems to carry history with every run.
But it does add another layer. The Kylian Mbappé charity work story is not about one cheque, one photo or one emotional moment. It is about a superstar who has made giving part of his routine.
And maybe that is the most impressive part. Not the size of the gesture, but the fact that it keeps happening.
