Jasper Schellens: Breaking Stereotypes, One Workout at a Time

From the moment he could walk, Jasper Schellens was hooked on sports. “From early morning to late at night, I was busy with a ball,” he says. But it wasn’t just football that grabbed him — all sports did. And alongside that passion for movement, Jasper had another love: gaming.

What started in a dark bedroom, with hours of gaming and filming content just for the fun of it, turned into an international mission to change mindsets. Jasper made it his goal to break the old cliché: the unhealthy gamer glued to a screen, energy drink in hand. “That image didn’t match me at all,” he explains. “Sure, I gamed in a dark room — but I also loved training. I thought: this stereotype has to go.”

From Gamer to Global Coach

Jasper’s leap of faith came when he joined FaZe Clan — often called the ‘Real Madrid of gaming’. He saw first-hand how gamers could build global brands. It was enough to convince him to quit his ICT & Business studies and bet on YouTube, even if his parents were baffled. “Back in 2014, YouTube was still small. Influencers didn’t really exist. My parents didn’t get it at all. But I just went for it. Best decision ever.”

That gamble paid off when superstar YouTuber MrBeast mentioned on the Joe Rogan Podcast that balancing YouTube with a healthy lifestyle was tough. Jasper reached out — and days later was on a plane to help him. From there, he became the go-to trainer for major names like MrBeast and KSI, proving that health and gaming can go hand in hand.

Health Is a Long Game

Today, Jasper Schellens trains top creators and celebrities around the world. But there’s no quick fix in his approach. “I always look at what someone really needs. It’s about small, balanced changes — that’s what lasts,” he explains. For stars with busy, chaotic schedules, sustainability beats shortcuts. “Consistency is everything. You benefit for life.”

When asked about his own fitness drive, Jasper credits his family. “My dad and granddad are super sporty. My grandpa was still skiing black slopes at 91! My dad has an obsessive mindset: every year older, every year faster. That inspires me — I want to grow old fit and healthy too.”

Next Goal: Get Kids Moving

Despite building his business on screens, Jasper’s biggest mission is to get kids away from them. “I really want to get more kids moving — it’s a huge social challenge now. It’s funny because my work is on social media, but ideally I’d see kids outside playing football, not scrolling all day.”

His message is simple but powerful: movement is for everyone. “You don’t have to hit the gym. Go play tennis, take a walk — just find something you enjoy. That’s how you stick with it. And the benefits last a lifetime.”
