Steven Bergwijn is a Dutch winger known for his explosive pace, dribbling and eye for goal. He came through Ajax’s academy before moving to PSV Eindhoven, where he helped the club win three Eredivisie titles (2015, 2016 and 2018). In January 2020 he transferred to Tottenham Hotspur for about £26.7m and marked his Premier League debut by scoring the winning goal against Manchester City. After three seasons in England, Bergwijn returned to Ajax in mid-2022 for a record Eredivisie transfer fee of €31m, scoring a hat-trick in one match that same autumn.

In September 2024 he signed with Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League, continuing his career abroad. Throughout his senior career he also earned 35 caps for the Netherlands (scoring 8 goals), appearing in competitive tournaments including UEFA Nations League and Euro qualifiers. His honours include the Dutch league championship titles with PSV and, with Al-Ittihad, the Saudi League and King’s Cup in 2024–25.

Bergwijn’s life outside football centers on faith, family and giving back. A devout Christian, he has spoken about praying before games and also has Bible-verse tattoos (such as Psalm 23) on his arms.

He is closely connected to his childhood friend Abdelhak “Appie” Nouri, and in 2022 became an ambassador for the Abdelhak Nouri Foundation, supporting initiatives for sports inclusion and brain injury awareness.

Moreover, he has partnered with Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen, appearing in campaigns that highlight sound quality, focus, and performance. The collaboration fits his image as a modern athlete who values music, concentration, and premium design in his daily routine.
