On the Pitch

Jurriën Timber, born in 2001, is a versatile defender capable of playing at right-back or center-back. He honed his skills in Feyenoord and Ajax youth setups before breaking into Ajax’s first team in 2020, where he won two Eredivisie titles and a KNVB Cup. In July 2023 he moved to Arsenal for a reported £34 million and has since established himself as a reliable presence in their defense, contributing with key defensive actions, one goal and multiple assists. Internationally, he’s featured in 19 games for the Netherlands since his debut in 2021, and has played in major tournaments including the 2022 World Cup.

Off the Pitch

Timber keeps a grounded profile: he’s private, family-focused, and active in his community. He maintains close ties with his twin brother Quinten, who plays for Feyenoord, and they occasionally feature together with the Dutch national team  . Of Curaçaoan descent through both parents, he regularly visits the Caribbean and openly embraces his heritage. A practicing Christian, he shares Bible verses on social media. Timber also mentors young players, hints at coaching ambitions, and quietly supports charitable initiatives related to youth football — proof that his influence extends off the pitch as well.
