After retiring in 2018, Dirk Kuyt transitioned directly into leadership roles within football. He began working with Feyenoord’s youth setup before taking on his first head coaching role at ADO Den Haag, stepping into a challenging environment that demanded structure, accountability, and calm leadership. Even when results proved difficult, his approach reflected a long-term mindset focused on standards, development, and professionalism.

Outside the technical area, Kuyt built a clear second pillar through entrepreneurship and social impact. He founded the Dirk Kuyt Foundation, which focuses on sports participation for people with disabilities, and later launched Kuyt Padel, investing in the rapid growth of padel across the Netherlands. These ventures mirror the way he approached football: practical, community-oriented, and built to last.
