ADIDAS UNVEILS THE OFFICIAL UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AND WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATCH BALLS FOR 2026/27

Two new designs. Two different stories. One stage where preparation meets performance.

adidas has officially unveiled the match balls for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Women’s Champions League. More than just the ball that will be used on Europe’s biggest football stages, both designs reflect the identity, ambition and energy behind the modern game.

For the new season, adidas looks beyond the ninety minutes. The focus is on everything that happens before the lights come on.

THE UNSEEN WORK BEHIND SUCCESS

The official UEFA Champions League match ball takes its inspiration from the moments nobody sees.

Cold mornings. Empty pitches. Early training sessions. The repetition, discipline and ambition that eventually lead to football’s biggest nights.

Set against a clean white base, the iconic Champions League stars are brought to life through metallic details and vivid bursts of colour. The design creates a sense of movement and light, reflecting the journey from preparation to performance.

The adidas logo and UEFA Champions League branding appear in a striking pink finish, giving the ball a fresh and contemporary edge while remaining instantly recognisable.

It is a design built around a simple idea: champions are not only made under the stadium lights. They are made long before the crowd arrives.

A RING OF LIGHT FOR THE WOMEN’S GAME

The official UEFA Women’s Champions League ball takes a different visual direction.

At the centre of the concept is the competition’s Ring of Light, represented through eleven stars, one for every player on the pitch. It is a visual symbol of unity, teamwork and shared ambition.

Purple tones meet gold and orange accents across the white surface, creating a more energetic and expressive design. Metallic silver details add depth, while the graphics give the impression that the stars are moving across the ball.

The result feels fast, bold and forward looking. A fitting reflection of the continued growth and momentum of the women’s game.

BUILT FOR THE BIGGEST NIGHTS

Behind the visuals, both balls are engineered for elite level performance. adidas uses a thermally bonded, seamless construction designed to deliver precision, consistency and control at the highest level.

Because at this level, the smallest detail can change everything.

The 2026/27 season will bring a new visual identity to the pitch, but the feeling remains the same.

European nights. Pressure. Stars. One ball.

Which one is your favourite?
