Unai Emery has become the second North London manager to lose his job this month, following his sacking from Arsenal.
The writing had been on the wall for Emery for a while it seems, with Arsenal fans losing patience in regards to the progress of his ongoing project with the Gunners. Who better to put the feel good feeling back into the club then, than cult hero Freddie Ljungberg?
If you don’t remember the former Swedish international for his vital goals during his lengthy spell at what was then Highbury, you will certainly remember his iconic hairstyles. Died, spiked, shaved. Ljungberg went through a range of style during his playing days, becoming a true cult hero at the club as played a key role in titles and FA Cups under Arsene Wenger.
With the likes of Robert Pires in his backroom staff, there is a nostalgic feel to Arsenal right now, as they try and turnaround their fortunes on the pitch by making changes off of it. Ljungberg has made a statement about his new role in his personal Instagram account.
8th placed Arsenal will travel to Norwich City on Sunday in their first match under the temporary manager.
