Throwback Thursday: Roma or Lazio? Two classic goals
This weekend is the Derby della Capitale, the Rome Derby, one of the most fierce rivalries in world football.
As two giants in Serie A, you would think that the most important thing each season is that these clubs finish high up the league table. Ask the managers and the players, and they would probably tell you the same. Ask a fan however, and they may tell you that winning against their rival, winning this match, is the most important thing of all.
Two look forward to Saturday’s big game in Rome, we’re using our Throwback Thursday feature to relive two classic goals from the derby. There was plenty to choose from as Francesco Totti’s famous chip of 2002 and Ledesma’s long-range drive of 2006 narrowly edged out a volley from Paolo Di Canio and a backheel volley by Brazilian, Mancini.
All you have to do is sit back, enjoy them and decide who wins? Roma or Lazio?
