With this in mind, we want to give them some shine so here are our 5 best transfers of the summer so far, with Royal de Gruijter…

Having left Ajax as a teenager, Promes became an internationally recognised talent, outgrowing the Eredivisie quickly and moving to Spartak Moscow then Sevilla. With Ajax’s superb campaign last season, their ability to attract serious talent has grown and, bringing Quincy back to the Netherlands is a big statement from the Dutch Champions.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United

At 45 million pounds, eyebrows will be raised across Europe as Manchester United sign up a player who is yet to play for his country.

The South-Londoner excelled for his local side, Crystal Palace last season, breaking into the first-team and being named their Player of the Season. The right-back will be a long-term addition to United’s side which is in desperate need of a restructure and, at 20 years old, there might be some serious value for money to be found in Wan-Bissaka after all.

Eden Hazard to Real Madrid

Real Madrid have got their man.

A Chelsea legend, Eden Hazard was undoubtedly one of the best Premier League players in recent years, a true star of the game worthy of the Galactico status. With his contract running down, 100 million euros isn’t exactly a bad price for Chelsea, but it is one that could be priceless for Madrid if the Belgian gets them back to the top. A transfer worthy of the hype.

Timothy Weah to Lille

A move that went a little under the radar was Timothy Weah’s transfer from PSG to Lille, as the much-hyped young striker, son of the famous George Weah, moves across France.

At around 10 million euros, this transfer won’t have the big pressure of a much higher fee and, will be allowed first-team opportunities at a club that helped to forge the careers of the Hazard brothers, who Dmitri Payet, Divock Origi and more.

Benjamin Pavard to Bayern Munich

In this deal, Bayern has signed a fine player.

Versatile, experienced despite his young age, a World Cup winner and above all, Benjamin Pavard’s signing gives us an excuse to share this goal from the World Cup last year…
