The latest issue of Life After Football took us to Milan where, amongst an interview with Tiemoue Bakayoko and taking on plenty of strong coffee, we were able to get a glimpse of the famous San Siro.
Visiting at midday, midweek and mid-winter, the iconic stadium and the neighbourhood that it casts a shadow over, was incredibly quiet. With the cement behemoth of an arena always visible whether you are getting pizza in a nearby restaurant, or wandering the residential streets that all lead to the stadium, there are subtle clues about what San Siro would be like on a matchday…
