‘’I was 26 years old at the time,’’ reveals Brynjarsdóttir in the documentary. ‘’I cried a lot for the first few days and the next twenty weeks actually. We had been together for ten years at the time and I always knew I wanted to have kids. Not everyone can get pregnant, so it is a blessing. I knew I had to work very hard to be the same player as I was before or even better.’’
The documentary also sheds light on her lifelong dream to play for West Ham United and growing up and playing football as a woman in Iceland. On the 7th of February 2024, Brynjarsdóttir and her husband welcomed their second child and she is aiming to get back on the pitch soon. The full 30-minute documentary is free to watch on YouTube.
