Life After Football ISSUE 83 is out now!
ISSUE 83 is themed around our annual Fashion Player Awards. It features exclusive interviews with all nominees: Quilindschy Hartman (Feyenoord), Tommy St. Jago (Willem II), Sterre Kroezen (PEC Zwolle Women), Isaac Babadi (PSV), and Mario Engels (Heracles Almelo). But that’s not all, there’s much more to uncover in ISSUE 83, so get your hands on an issue with your favourite nominee on the cover now!
Quilindschy Hartman
Quilindschy Hartman (22) focuses on the positives of his months-long rehabilitation. A true Feyenoord fan, he used to wear a new Feyenoord shirt every year. Now, supporters are wearing shirts with his name on the back. For a long time, people had certain preconceptions about him, but that has now changed: “They used to think, ‘he’s aggressive or a bit crazy.’”
Sterre Kroezen
Sterre Kroezen (19) is a player for PEC Zwolle and has launched a platform aimed at inspiring girls, and boys as well, to learn football tricks. This entrepreneurial drive isn’t surprising, as she comes from a business-minded family. “I’m sometimes tempted to pull off an akka during training.”
Isaac Babadi
Laughter is never far away with Isaac Bababi, the nineteen-year-old PSV Eindhoven player who eagerly hopes for a breakthrough. Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger is a source of inspiration and his visit to the country of his parents, Sierra Leone, has left him wanting more.
Mario Engels
Mario Engels (30) has already played football in Germany, Poland, and Japan, but he’s now become more Dutch than German. In Life After Football ISSUE 83, he reveals the secret behind his strong form this season. However, his prized possession, his watch, has to come off for it. “For me, more expensive shoes paired with a nice shirt is already a great combination.”
Tommy St. Jago
In the Willem II dressing room, fashion is a frequent topic of conversation. Tommy St. Jago (24) occasionally gives teammate Kyan Vaesen some advice: “I want to be someone who can inspire others.”
