Kings World Cup Nations is kicking off the new year
The Kings World Cup Nations, the World Cup format of Gerard Pique’s Kings League, is kicking off January 1st 2025 in Italy. Over 12 days, 16 countries will compete for the title of the first Kings League Nations World Champions. The final will take place on the 12th of January at Juventus’ Allianz Stadium.
The 16 countries competing in the first-ever Kings World Cup Nations are: Spain, Mexico, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Colombia, Japan, Peru, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Brazil, and, of course, the hosts Italy.
Many former professional footballers also represent their national teams, including former Celtic player Shunsuke Nakamura (Japan), former Moroccan international Mbark Boussoufa (Morocco), former Borussia Dortmund player Moritz Leitner (Germany), and Manchester City legend Sergio Agüero (Argentina).
The tournament will be played in a Swiss format, where each game will be decisive to advance. The matches will be free to watch on Twitch and YouTube.
