Drake’s NOCTA label is reportedly entering the football world

Nike’s Nocta sub-brand, which is fronted by Canadian rapper Drake, is reportedly becoming the new clothing partner of Italian club Venezia FC after they are set to part ways with Kappa. Over the last few years, Venezia FC has made a name for itself as one of the most fashion-forward clubs and has become known for its beautiful kits. Nocta is now set to be the frontrunner to become the Italian’s club clothing partner. It would mean the brand’s first appearance in the football world.

When Venezia FC went through a rebrand in 2021 under the guidance of Ted Philipakos, the club gained millions of fans all over the world. The kits they produced together with Kappa, became an instant hit. Now it looks as though the partnership between the Italian brand and Venezia FC is coming to an end. Reports suggest that Venezia will not be renewing its deal with Kappa, despite last-minute attempts to renew the contract. According to local media, La Nuova Venezia, the club had been having talks with Diadora, but these conversations were stranded. Now it seems as though Nocta, a sub-brand of Nike similar to Jordan, is the frontrunner to become the club’s new partner.

It’s not the only change at Venezia FC since their rebrand in 2021. Ted Philipakos is now working at Athens Kallithea, a Greek club now known as the world’s most stylish football club, and Seoul-based creative studio and football lifestyle brand Nivelcrack also replaced Bureau Borsche last year as the club’s creative agency.
