Don’t miss adidas’ Icon Jerseys…
Retro jerseys are all the rage, as seen with a number of the new jerseys this season having references to kits of old.
adidas know their way around a vintage style, too, and have exercised this with a wonderfully timeless-looking new collection. Using the clubs they currently sponsor, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Arsenal, they have released some minimal football jerseys for each.
Three stripes down each arm and subtle pinstripes mark these shirts, whereas the absence of the sponsor gives these jerseys a further retro feel. Coming only in long sleeves, all shirts have a classic collar as well. As such, all shirts are very similar, with only United’s iteration including the extra detail of a tribute to their treble triumph of 1999.
Available from adidas’ website, these are a fine alternative for fans who don’t usually buy brand new replica kits.
