Ajax vs Juventus: TONIGHT

For the first time since 2003, Ajax stands in the quarter-final of the Champions League.

They face Juventus in the last eight and in history, Ajax has played 12 times against the Serie A side.

The biggest victory from Ajax was in 1974-1975, with just a 2-1 victory. In 1996-1997, Ajax lost in Turin  4-1.

If we look at the facts, Juventus have had more success in the Champions League, but Ajax has still won the tournament more often. The team from Amsterdam won the European Cup three times in a row in the 1970s and then again in 1995. In 1985 and 1996, the Old Lady won Europe’s most prestigious cup tournament, also reaching the final in two of the last four seasons.
