Football Kits That Dropped in September
September turned up the creativity in football design, with new kits bringing fresh stories, bold colours, and cultural nods. From retro revivals to fabric-inspired tributes, September kits brought fresh stories to football design. Each one shows how style and identity shape the game.

From disco shades to denim details and classic throwbacks, these are five of the standout football kits of September.
Sassuolo x PUMA — Third Kit 2025/26
Starting off the list, Sassuolo and Puma bring a touch of retro flair to the new third kit, drawing inspiration from 1970s disco energy.
The shirt carries a striking tie-dye effect in shades of yellow and green, contrasted by sleek black side panels. White and black detailing on the collar and cuffs adds balance, while “Emozioni Neroverdi” (Black and green emotions) on the neckline ties it back to the club’s roots.
Also, the kit is produced under Puma’s RE:FIBRE programme, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability.

Grêmio x Umbro — Third Kit 2025/26
Grêmio and Umbro present a third kit that feels both nostalgic and meaningful, paying homage to the Pampa Gaúcho region and its natural heritage.
The shirt comes in deep navy with a tonal all-over pattern that reflects the area’s landscapes, giving the kit texture and depth. A polo collar with fine striping and the word “IMORTAL”adds a retro touch, while the crest and Umbro logo shine in gold for contrast.
Finished with “PAMPA” on the hem, it connects club identity with environmental pride.
Liverpool x adidas — Third Kit 2025/26
Liverpool and adidas reunite heritage and modernity with a third kit that feels instantly iconic.
The shirt arrives in bold Sea Green, echoing designs from the 1990s and early 2000s. The adidas Trefoil returns alongside the club’s 1987–1992 crest, reviving a visual identity from past eras while reimagining it for today.
Black-and-white trim on the collar and cuffs adds contrast, tying the look together. As a result, this kit balances nostalgia with a fresh, cultural statement.

Atlético Madrid x Nike — Third Kit 2025/26
Nike and Atlético Madrid revive a classic with their new third kit, built on the legendary Total 90 template.
Two decades since its first appearance, the design returns with its signature asymmetrical lines and centralised crest.
The shirt comes in bold Photo Blue, finished with white piping and ‘Sport Red’ sleeve accents for contrast. A subtle “90” mark inside the collar ties it back to its roots, while updated fabric tech ensures the jersey feels modern on the pitch.
Sampdoria x Macron — Third Kit 2025/26
Sampdoria and Macron have dropped one of the boldest designs of the season, a denim-inspired kit that pays tribute to Genoa’s roots.
The shirt mimics the look of blue jeans, a nod to the “blu di Genova” fabric once worn by sailors from the city’s port and later known worldwide as denim.
What’s more, details like yellow stitching, a polo collar, and the words “Blu di Genova” on the back complete the story. This special denim kit blends fashion and history with football identity.
