Feyenoord Fans to Design “Twelfth Shirt” for the 2025/2026 Season

After being announced as the new sponsor last year, Castore and Feyenoord Rotterdam are back with another promising collaboration. The clubs’ fans are invited to create a new jersey design, with the winning kit set to become the official fourth kit of the 2025/2026 season.

A Kit by the Fans, for the Fans

The result of this collaboration is a special “Twelfth Shirt” – Feyenoord’s first-ever kit designed by its own supporters. The project’s name nods to the club’s “12th man” (the fans), and the idea behind it is simple: “This shirt, we wear together. This shirt, we create together,” Feyenoord proclaimed in its launch video. Over the past weeks, Feyenoord’s legion of supporters submitted designs, colour schemes, and even fabric ideas as part of a contest to craft the team’s 2025/26 fourth kit. The club gave its faithful complete creative freedom – supporters could draw inspiration from classic jerseys of the past or dream up something entirely new.

Submissions will be poured in until the 30th of March, after which a jury including Feyenoord and Castore designers, will shortlist twelve favourites. Those top 12 fan concepts will be refined into prototypes, and then fans will vote to choose the winning design, which will be produced as the official fourth kit next season. In a true celebration of fan culture, the design with the most votes becomes the “Twelfth Shirt – a jersey literally created by the supporters for their team. The campaign has energized the fanbase, as lifelong Feyenoord followers and young fans alike share mock-ups on social media and swap ideas in what has essentially become a city-wide design party. The excitement underscores the relevance of this initiative: it’s more than a kit, it’s a story of the fans woven into the fabric of the club.

Castore’s Playbook: Innovation Meets Tradition

For Castore, this fan-driven project with Feyenoord is the latest example of the brand’s innovative approach to sports apparel. The British sportswear company is a relative newcomer on the global stage, but it has quickly built an impressive portfolio by partnering with top teams and athletes. Castore already outfits elite clubs like Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Rangers FC, and Sevilla FC.

From day one, Castore focused on performance, quality, and innovation. The company’s founders aimed to create gear for world-class athletes, and today their kits deliver small but vital performance boosts through cutting-edge technology. That philosophy has drawn big names, including Andy Murray, who signed a long-term deal and wears Castore gear at major tournaments. When it comes to design style, Castore often blends modern sleekness with respect for club tradition. Feyenoord fans got a taste of that earlier this season: Castore teamed up with local streetwear label Banlieue to create a special third kit, inspired by a beloved 2003–04 green-and-white away shirt that supporters voted as one of the club’s all-time favourites. That jersey combined retro inspiration with contemporary street-fashion flair – emblematic of Castore’s knack for balancing heritage and innovation.

With such a track record, Castore’s involvement gives fans confidence that the fan-designed “Twelfth Shirt” will be crafted to professional standards without losing the creative spark that makes it unique.
