Virgil van Dijk on designing his own clothing range: ‘’Never say never’’
Liverpool FC defender Virgil van Dijk has teased the public about the potential of designing his own clothing range. In an interview with Soccerbible, the captain of the Dutch national team revealed that he would never say never if the opportunity came around. ‘’I’d like to maybe do something for the kids, that’s always a nice audience. I think it’s always nice to look at the next generation. But you never know, maybe a collaboration in the future could be a possibility when the opportunity arises.’’
Virgil van Dijk often catches the eye with his sense for fashion. In the last few years, the 33-year-old has become one of the standout players in Liverpool’s training fit photos and a regularly featured person on social media accounts that repost photos of fashionable footballers. Van Dijk also revealed that he believes style is important. ‘’We all – especially us players – we’re seen on TV, on social media by so many people in the world and we have a lot of kids and people looking up to us. We’re role models in so many ways, including the way we dress and how we express ourselves. And that’s why football and fashion are all so important in reflecting your character.’’
