Sneaker of the Week: Neymar Jr. x Nike Shox

Usually our Sneaker of the Week pick is a shoe release that is undeniably beautiful and undoubtedly stylish, but this week’s entry is likely to divide opinion, as Neymar’s collaboration with Nike Shox has been unveiled.

Coming in a very vibrant, borderline controversial colourway, did you really expect a muted sneaker from the Brazil captain? Neymar’s work with Nike has stretched all over the brand’s many sub-brands like Air Jordan and the like, and now he has had the chance to work with the iconic sneaker range, Shox.

The Neymar Jr. x Nike Shox R4 has an ‘watermelon inspired’ colour scheme and also a predominantly red get-up, too. Loud and proud, the shape of the shoes is the original Shox style, a nod to the history of a sneaker clearly held dear by the PSG star. An ‘N’ and Neymar logo van be found on the tongue, with classic Shox branding elsewhere. Also, look out for another Neymar logo on the insole, too.
