Sneaker of the Week: ‘Neon Seoul’ Nike Air Max 97

For the sneakerheads around the world, March holds one of the most important days in the calendar – Air Max Day.

Nike always celebrates this day, 26th March, with some super exclusive releases and a look back at the history of the iconic shoe. This time, they are taking it back to ’97 and remixing the Air Max 97 in a ‘Neon Seoul’ colourway. 

A tribute to the vivid nature of the South Korean city, the Neon Seoul comes in a black base with vibrant colours adding the unique touches on this eagerly anticipated new sneaker. Red, whites and blues decorate the sneakers with vivid neon contours that are inspired by the Taegeuk symbol on South Korea’s national flag. The neon Swoosh and Seoul LED logos are an attempt to capture the bright and busy nature of Seoul – and a successful attempt at that.

These shoes will be available as of Air Max Day on March 26th and will be popular with anyone who is an avid Air Max fan, or simply fond of South Korean culture.
