Jarell Quansah: ‘’Style is important because it’s another way to show who you are’’
After breaking through at Liverpool last season, Jarell Quansah (21) has acknowledged the link between style and confidence. In a recent interview with Soccerbible, the 6 foot 3 defender revealed that style is another way of showing who he is. ‘’You can show a lot of confidence with style.’’
Quansah believes that if you look good off the pitch, you’ll look good on the pitch as well. ‘’[Confidence] is shown in how you walk around and how you carry yourself away from football.’’ The 21-year-old, however, prefers to dress more subtly than some of his other teammates, such as Cody Gakpo and Virgil van Dijk. ‘’I don’t need to do too much, but I like to have a go sometimes. I think just showing that you’re confident in what you’re wearing and how you carry yourself… it’s exactly the same on the pitch. You should go out on the pitch with your chest out, shoulders back. That’s the main thing, just being confident in yourself.’’
