Fashion Friday: PSG and Jordan unveil new collection
For our pick of the week’s fashion, we are able to remain very close to home, as French football giants PSG unveiled their latest collaboration with Air Jordan during the midweek Champions League hustle and bustle.
Travelling to Manchester to play at Old Trafford, their star-studded squad were dressed in the all-white get-up of this new collection. The second capsule to come from this working relationship, football and basketball were initially intertwined by PSG and Jordan for their all-black tracksuits and leisure wear which they wore en route to UEFA Champions League group games in Liverpool, Naples and Belgrade, as well as around their own city, Paris.
Now coming in this icy all-white look, the collection consists of tracksuits, hoodies and the like, all featuring both PSG’s club emblem and that of the iconic strand of Nike that Air Jordan is. The Jumpman logo in all of it’s glory, of course features on the kits that PSG wear in Europe, too, the first kit deal of it’s kind.
Long sleeve tees and sweatpants also feature in a drop that is so far removed from your traditional training wear collection. Credit must go to PSG and their determination to regularly push the boundaries of football’s ability to excel in a commercial and fashionable sense – the club is very much the trendy team of the hour right now, picking up new fans worldwide.
