Fashion Friday: Off-White’s homage to The Simpsons

As always, it’s been a busy week both in fashion and in football, making our pick of the fashion releases particularly relevant, as we kick back and enjoy one of the best cartoons ever made.

Clearly a fan himself, Virgil Abloh has been paying tribute to The Simpsons with recent releases, combining graphics from the iconic show with his trademark Off-White branding and minimalism. Last week a selection of white long sleeve tees with Bart Simpson graphics and catchphrases became the talk of the brand’s many loyal fans and this week, The Simpson’s family home is involved.

With a super detailed print of 742 Evergreen Terrance on the front and the word “architecture” on the back, it seems that Abloh is concentrating on the dynamic and build of the very concept of the home, using The Simpsons to do. The cartoon itself is, at it’s best, a masterpiece in satire and social commentary and maybe this is what Off-White is going for here.
