Fashion Friday: Motown x Carhartt WIP

Motown x Carhartt is our fashion pick of the week, as the legendary record label joins forces with a legendary brand for a special capsule.

Celebrating 60 years of the label that released classic records from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes and so many more, the collection has co-branded pieces. With 13 items in all, Carhartt celebrates the huge influence that Motown has had on American culture as we know it.

Imagery and references from Motown’s amazing history feature in the Motown x Carhartt WIP drop, like imagery from Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’ artwork. Mixing 60s and 70s style with something that looks brilliantly contemporary, this is one of the most unique collabs of 2019.

As per with Carhartt WIP, expect great durability and sustainability, too, with functional items that should last a long time. If they last as long as the now 60-year-old Motown Records, they will have done something quite incredible. The collection went live on November 14th via Carhartt’s US online store.
