Evgeniy Levchenko wins Life After Football Footgolf 2024
This Thursday, Life After Football hosted our annual Footgolf event in Rotterdam. It was a beautiful day on the golfcourse filled with lots of laughter and competition. Former and professional footballers, along with our partners, were not only battling against each other to win one of our prestigious prizes, they were also fighting for the right to call themselves the Life After Football Footgolf champions of 2024. After eleven holes of footgolf, Evgeniy Levchenko completed the course in the least amount of shots and was crowned the winner.
Once again, Golfcenter Seve in Rotterdam welcomed us with open arms this year. Our sponsor Robey provided the participants with a stylish and custom Life After Football kit for the competition. After the official opening ceremony the footballers were introduced to their respective teams. The golfcourse, which was filled with friendly rivalries and plenty of competition, was majestic, neat and energetic throughout the day.
Our line-up consisted of incredible current and former footballers including Frank de Boer, Gregory van der Wiel, Denny Landzaat, Anwar El Ghazi, Aron Winter, Khalid Boulahrouz, Evgeniy Levchenko, Ron Vlaar, Ryan Donk, Gianni Zuiverloon, Ricardo Kishna, Nourdin Boukhari, Derk Boerrigter, John van de Brom, Dwight Blackson and referee Shona Shukrula. These athletes competed with their teams for the title of ‘Best Pro’.
After a thrilling competition, Evgeniy Levchenko solidified himself as the winner of Footgolf 2024 and was awarded with a magnificent OMEGA Sea Master Aqua Terra Watch as first prize. This watch was provided by OMEGA and House of GASSAN.
Ricardo Kishna, who won a drawing for second place over John van den Brom after both finished with the same score, was awarded with a luxurious De’Longhi Eletta Explore coffee machine with accessories. Third place finisher John van den Brom then won the opportunity to choose a stylish headset from Bang & Olufsen.
Team Red Recruitment crowned themselves as the best team and went home with a giftcard from Robey. Bob Kloppenburg was the best amateur of the day and will receive a rental motorbike of his choice for a week from BMW Motorrad. The challenging BMW Motorrad challenge proved to be too difficult for the participants, so the backpack from the Adventure Collection of BMW Motorrad was awarded to one of the eight competitors who scored a hole-in-one.
Life After Football would not only like to congratulate all our winners, but also give a big shoutout to our partners and everyone that participated! Without you, none of this would have been possible. It was a fantastic day filled with exciting personalities, engaging conversations, and wonderful memories.
Keep an eye out on our website and social media for the aftermovie!
