Edgar Davids Featured In Just Eat’s New Retro Collection
Just Eat has unveiled a new limited-edition retro collection that combines 90s football nostalgia with contemporary streetwear flair. Collaborating with Daily Paper’s co-founder Abderrahmane Trabsini and jeweller TROPHY BY GASSAN, the collection is fronted by football icon Edgar Davids.

The Collection
The capsule takes inspiration from the golden age of football fashion, the late ’90s, when collars and oversized kits ruled the pitch. Lead designer Abderrahmane Trabsini, co-founder of Daily Paper, looked directly to classic kits like the Netherlands’ 1998 home shirt, famously worn by Edgar Davids. That past-meets-present vibe shows in the three jersey designs: bold orange tones, clean collar details, stitched patches, and graphics that blend old-school football swagger with modern-day delivery culture.
Each jersey adds fun, thoughtful touches — like a reworked knife-and-fork crest, background napkin-style textures, and sleeve badges that nod to matchday rituals and takeaway nights. The goal? To celebrate how football and food go hand in hand, while still keeping things stylish. To round out the drop, TROPHY BY GASSAN crafted five charms shaped like popular delivery items — think pizza, fries, sushi, noodles, and burgers — all iced-out with luxury detail. The result is a fresh kind of retro: football memories you can wear, remixed for today’s streets.
Edgar Davids’ Life After Football
Few players embodied 90s football style quite like Edgar Davids. For example, his dreadlocks, tinted goggles, and nonstop energy in midfield made him a standout figure. Moreover, he impressed at clubs like Ajax, Juventus, and Barcelona, where he consistently delivered high-level performances. In addition, he earned over 70 games for the Dutch national team, showing his influence on the international stage. Furthermore, he lifted the Champions League and secured multiple league titles, combining tough tackling with technical flair.
However, Davids didn’t disappear after retiring. On the contrary, he transitioned into coaching, collaborated with UEFA, and stayed involved in fashion and cultural projects. As a result, his role in this collection is more than symbolic. In fact, it represents the next chapter for a player who helped define football’s style, both on and off the pitch. Even today, he continues to inspire how the sport expresses identity through attitude, fashion, and legacy.
