The Esports World Cup Foundation confirmed Ronaldo’s appointment in June 2025, placing him at the forefront of the event’s global promotion. As ambassador, he will lead the “Rise Above” campaign, which aims to bridge traditional sports audiences with the esports world. The tournament will run from July 8 to August 24 in Riyadh and feature over 25 titles including FIFAe, Call of Duty, and League of Legends. With a record-breaking $70 million prize pool and top teams from across the globe, the Esports World Cup hopes to set new standards for global reach and viewership. Ronaldo’s influence, particularly among young fans and the digital-native audience, will boost awareness and engagement around the event.
