Ballers Market: Inside the Pop-Up That Delivered Style, Sustainability & Support
A Weekend Where Community Took Center Stage

Held on 28 and 29 November at the ReShare Store Rotterdam, the DUCE x Ballers Market pop-up quickly became one of the city’s standout community moments. Only minutes after doors opened, the shop filled with visitors exploring donated items from top athletes, while local DJ sets added energy throughout the day. A special conversation moment brought Linne Dierckx, Richard Lopes Mendes and Demelza Dumfries together for an open discussion with the audience about the purpose behind the initiative and the impact they hope to build for young people in Rotterdam. With players like Denzel Dumfries, Kirsten van de Westeringh, Mitchell van Bergen and many others appearing in-store, the event blended accessibility, connection, and inspiration. A genuine community celebration.

A Collaboration Rooted in Purpose and Youth Empowerment

The partnership between DUCE, Ballers Market and ReShare was created with one shared mission. Giving young people better tools, opportunities and support systems. DUCE, founded by Denzel Dumfries, provides specialist youth care, education, mentorship and safe community spaces, forming the backbone of the initiative. Ballers Market brought its athlete-led circular fashion platform to the forefront, using resale as a tool for impact. ReShare, a sustainability leader under the Salvation Army, offered their space and network to ensure the project remained accessible to all. Together, the trio demonstrated how sport, fashion and social responsibility can meet in one community-driven model that sets a new precedent for athlete-led influence.

The Collections: Accessibility, Sustainability and Measurable Impact

The pop-up showcased two distinct collections, each designed to drive meaningful change. The accessible ReShare collection included donated athlete items priced under €25, allowing more than 100 community members to purchase pre-loved pieces and promoting sustainable fashion at an affordable level.

The high-end curated collection featured exclusive premium items priced between €30 and €2500, with athletes choosing to donate proceeds to DUCE or a charity of their choice. For every €50 spent, an official Eredivisie match ball was pledged, resulting in 120 Derbystar balls secured for DUCE’s youth programs. With contributions from over 30 professional players across the Eredivisie, Belgian league, and women’s football, the weekend proved that fashion and football can create real impact when purpose leads the way.
