Achraf Hakimi Joins Under Armour

Achraf Hakimi leaves Adidas after years of collaboration to join forces with Under Armour. The move marks a fresh direction for both the Moroccan star and the American sportswear brand. As one of the fastest full-backs in the game, Hakimi brings serious pace and presence to his new gear lineup.

Under Armour x Achraf Hakimi

After years of association with Adidas during his time at Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and PSG, Achraf Hakimi has now embarked on a fresh new chapter by teaming up with Under Armour. With this move, he leaves behind a long-standing relationship and steps into a bold, new partnership. As a result, he will begin sporting Under Armour’s latest performance footwear, notably the Shadow Elite 3 boots. Additionally, he’ll represent their lifestyle apparel from standout collections like Challenger, Terrace, and Unstoppable.

Hakimi expressed his excitement about the switch, stating, “I am thrilled to join Under Armour, a brand whose values and product quality resonate with me. I look forward to contributing to its expansion in football and sportswear in France, Morocco, and beyond.”

Under Armour’s Legacy

Founded in 1996 by former University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank, Under Armour, has grown from a basement startup into a respected global sportswear brand. Initially, the brand made its name with moisture-wicking performance gear. Over time, it expanded into footwear, training apparel, and now, more decisively, into football.

In recent years, the company has made strategic moves to grow its footprint in the sport, and Hakimi’s signing marks a clear signal of intent. Under Armour’s recent football legacy includes high-profile partnerships with elite stars such as Antonio Rüdiger, Ferran Torres, and Douglas Costa. Kevin Ross, Managing Director for Under Armour EMEA, emphasized the significance of the move: “Achraf puts a major stake in the ground for Under Armour in football. It demonstrates our commitment and unwavering focus to grow our football business through world-class athletes.

Under Armour x Champions League

Following a hard-fought 1–0 win over Angers on April 5, 2025—which sealed the Ligue 1 title—PSG now turns its focus to the Champions League. PSG will face Aston Villa in the first leg of the quarterfinal on April 9, at the Parc des Princes. Notably, Hakimi is expected to debut his new Under Armour Shadow Elite 3 boots in this high-stakes clash. Therefore, this fixture carries extra weight as the Parisians aim to push deeper into Europe’s elite competition.
