#WednesdayWheels: McLaren Memories…

With the Formula 1 season speeding to the finish line, it seems a good time to slow things down and reminisce on championships of yesteryear, and there are only one team and one man we want to look back on.

The late, great Ayrton Senna still stands as one of the greatest drivers of all time, even with Lewis Hamilton approaching his record this coming weekend in Mexico. The Brazilian was one of the most stylish, humble and exciting drivers in the history of the sport. His life has been captured in an award-winning documentary and each of his three world championships will be remembered by F1 fans the world over. He was a people’s champ, retaining immense popularity even when rivalling his teammate and fellow suave, F1 champ, Alain Prost. Senna’s tragic death on the track in 1994 shook the sporting world, as this famous racing institution lost one of its favourite sons.

Yet his legacy lives on and with the latest F1 campaign in its latter stages, we’re gonna take it back to 1988 with some beautiful pictures of the man and his McLaren MP4/4.
