In a team with an array of stars, one of the mainstays of Manchester City’s outstanding squad, is still shining brightly – this week’s #LAFMOTW, Sergio Aguero.
With assists seemingly coming off of his boots every time he had it, you would’ve expected Kevin de Bruyne to be the stand out performer in City’s 5-1 win over Leicester City. That was until the second half began, and suddenly the Argentine forward erupted with goals.

Four of them came, with classic strikes among them as the leading Premier League scorer in the Citizen’s history controlled, wiggled and shot in the box, as well as applying composed tap-ins to construct another league hat-trick. But then, for his final trick, he recieved the ball on the outside of the box, hammering in a dipping shot past Kasper Schmeichel off the underside of the bar. His fourth goal of the half as Aguero scored his 18, 19th, 20th and 21st goal of the season, putting him back in the goalscoring spotlight alongside the likes of Mo Salah and Harry Kane.
With a 5-1 win and their rivals, United losing to Newcastle, it was a perfect weekend for Man City. But it was Sergio Aguero, one of the longest-serving players in the Premier League’s outstanding team, who takes our Man of the Weekend prize.
