LAF kickabout with adidas Nemeziz

There aren’t too many better ways to spend these late summer evenings than by knocking a ball around. Thanks to adidas and their latest Nemeziz range, the Life After Football team were kitted out for a post-work kick about last Friday.

With the teams split between those from Amsterdam and those from Rotterdam, but both fully donned in the same stunning modern football kit from adidas from head to toe, the sun shone down as goals were scored and the lines between colleagues and opponents became increasingly blurred. The less said about Amsterdam’s victory is probably for the best, but with the same blue and black, extremely comfortable and fitting Nemeziz Tango trainers on their feet as their victors, Team Rotterdam was left without an excuse.

The shoes themselves were ideal for the intensity of this artificial pitch, offering grip and a lightweight feel that is crucial to the fast paced nature of small-sided games. For those a tad more professional than some of LAF’s squad, they’d still be a fine option for training and warm-up games before the real thing arrives on real turf. As for the rest of the kit, the surely 90s inspired faded patterns of the shirt is a strong look with the three-quarter lengths adding a sense of swagger to every step-over you make. Those iconic three-stripes seem to add style and a sticker of validation to every piece of sportswear to come from the giant brand.

It was the first LAF kick around in a long while so for some of us, shaking off the rust was a challenge to play at our best – but thanks to this adidas Nemeziz range, we were looking our best even if we weren’t playing it.
