Lacoste swap their crocodile for endangered animals

Iconic fashion brand Lacoste, known for their iconic crocodile logo, have swapped their mascot for a series of shirts in honour of the ‘Save our Species’ initiative.

The special edition logo patches focus on around 10 threatened species — including the Anegada Ground iguana, Sumatran tiger, California condor, Soala and Cao Vit Gibbon – and perhaps the most shocking part? The shirts are produced in limited numbers that directly relate to the population size of each animal. And as such, they’ve already sold out.

The familiar Lacoste logo is still present on the shirt, just simply stitched into the back to give way to the cause. Profits from the “Save Our Species” collaboration will go towards the IUCNefforts to protect endangered animals – a really good look from Lacoste for SS18.
