The iconic Italian sports designer has this week, unveiled its new collection of homage paying sportswear for the season ahead.
Taking inspiration from the golden era of Italian football, the influence of cult figures such as Roberto Baggio can be felt in every big logo, Italian flag and zip-up tracksuit of this complete range. Abstracted patterning meets juxtaposing simplicity as large logos and large typography makes up several parts of the collection that includes a two-piece tracksuit, a women’s crop top, several new colourways of the Tokyo and B trainers and, their own take on a national team football shirt.
The footwear is something that adds a sprinkling of colour to Diadora’s new season, with pink, green and blue options available to bring some contrast to the Autumn and Winter weather. The beige and black options, finished with the gum sole, offer a really smart alternative to similar shoes on the market such as adidas’ famous Gazelle and Puma’s Madrid. Diadora, who will be celebrating 70 years of their savvy, Italian sportswear brand in 2018, look to be finishing 2017 strongly with some pieces inspired by footballing events in their own history – we look forward to seeing what else they bring out between now and winter time.
The collection can be viewed, enjoyed, lusted over and purchased, at Diadora’s own site.
