That classical adidas logo has been stitched into some history, as adidas Originals release some old-school football shirts for the upcoming World Cup.
Belgium’s famous kit from the 1980s has been given a modern rework in this collection, just as it has for the Red Devils’ new strip, too. There’s also a German shirt, reminiscent of West Germany’s famous number at Italia 90, as well as an Argentine shirt and one of the hosts, too.
The Russia shirt may just be the strongest of the whole collection, looking like something out of a Gosha drop. The USSR font across the front of the shirt acts as a piece of history in itself, as football gave us a rare look inside what was the Soviet Union in World Cups gone by.
With an intent for these shirts to be leisure wear, adidas Originals have delivered these iconic shirts perfectly. You can expect to see them at festivals and around trendy parts of your city this summer, as well as around more football-heavy environments. There’s been a lot of new shirts released ahead of Russia, but these new ‘old’ shirts may just be the best of the lot.
