The Danish designers, Wood Wood are celebrating their 15th birthday – and old friends, adidas Originals have been invited to join the party.
They’ve collaborated, not for the first time, to create a collection that delves into the infinite pool of football culture and come out with some great results. The Gazelle shoe, so long associated with the sport and it’s fans, has been reworked with the words “Madness” and “Mayhem” on the heels; two words which describe both football and Wood Wood’s time as a company perfectly. a dual branded, all-over print T-shirt; football scarves; and caps.
As well as the reimagined iconic shoes, a football jersey branded with both these creative companies has been conjured up, offering an all-over nostalgic print for Wood Wood who, hailing from Denmark, know all about stylish football shirts. Football scarves and caps complete a collection that owes a lot to football culture, but also a lot to the vision and design of Wood Wood – a fitting tribute to their time in the game, so far. In further celebration of their fifteen years, they’re also putting on an event in their of Copenhagen where you can expect artists of a continental variety with the likes of Frisco and DJ Maximum of London’s famous grime firm, Boy Better Know.
